Our Story & Mission

Dedicated to balancing ecological conservation with sustainable development across the United Kingdom.

Founded on Passion for Conservation

Coral Glen was established in 2009 by a group of ecologists who believed that rigorous scientific assessment and genuine care for the environment could coexist with responsible development.

What began as a small consultancy operating from a converted barn in the Cotswolds has grown into a respected team of specialists serving clients throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. Our founding principle remains unchanged: every project deserves thorough attention, honest advice, and solutions that genuinely protect wildlife.

Over fifteen years, we have conducted more than 840 ecological assessments, supported hundreds of planning applications, and contributed to habitat restoration projects that have measurably increased local biodiversity. We measure our success not just in approved permits, but in thriving ecosystems.

Our Core Values

These principles guide every survey we conduct, every report we write, and every recommendation we make.

Scientific Integrity

Our assessments are grounded in evidence-based methodology and peer-reviewed science. We present findings accurately, even when results are inconvenient.

Client Partnership

We work alongside our clients, not just for them. Understanding your objectives allows us to find solutions that meet both regulatory requirements and project goals.

Practical Solutions

Conservation that works on paper but fails in practice helps no one. We design mitigation measures that are achievable, cost-effective, and genuinely beneficial.
